Alison Kessler

 

Alison Kessler is a second-year undergraduate soprano from New Rochelle, NY studying with William Burden. Kessler graduated from Juilliard Pre-College after two years of study. This summer, Kessler was a Bori Grant recipient and traveled to Italy to study Italian at Scuola Leonardo da Vinci, and to Nice, France to study at the Académie Internationale D’été De Nice. Kessler was a finalist in the 2021 YoungArts National Competition. In addition, she was a winner of the 2021 Schmidt Undergraduate Vocal Competition, earned first place in the 2020 Schmidt Vocal Competition NY Cohort, and participated in Schmidt Vocal Institute. Kessler received the George London Foundation Scholarship during her time at Pre-College. Studying Wassily Kandinsky with Dr. Berman was one of Kessler’s favorite experiences at Juilliard so far, and she is honored for her work to be featured in The Wolf Interval!
