Anastasiya Magamedova

 

Twenty-four-year-old pianist, Anastasiya Magamedova, began studying the piano at the age of 5 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan and is a recent graduate of the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Julian Martin and Matti Raekallio with Academic Honors. She now continues her studies in Paris.   

A 2016 National YoungArts Winner and a Gold medalist of the 2013 International Keyboard Odyssiad and Festival Piano Competition (Ft. Collins, CO), Magamedova was also a third prize winner of the 2015 IIYM International Piano Competition. She has performed in halls such as Alice Tully Hall,  Carnegie Hall’s Weill Concert Hall, Pierre Boulez Saal (Berlin), Teatro del Pavone and Sala dei Notari in Perugia, Italy. During her summers, she has enjoyed participating in piano festivals such as Piano Texas International Piano Academy and Festival, Schleiswig-Holstein Festival Masterclasses, South Eastern Piano Festival, and International Institute for Young Musicians. As a chamber musician at Juilliard, she has had the opportunity to work with Joseph Kalichstein, Astrid Schween, Joel Sachs, and Audrey Axinn.    

Besides playing the piano, Anastasiya enjoys Ceramic Arts; her works have been showcased at The National K12 Ceramic Exhibition in Rhode Island, and Kansas City. She was a Winner of several Gold Keys in the National Scholastic Arts and Writing Competition, as well as a Merit Winner in the Visual Arts category of the National YoungArts Foundation.
