Du Yuxin

Du Yuxin (b. May 2005, Beijing) is a cellist currently studying at The Juilliard School with Zlatomir Fung, where she was admitted with a substantial scholarship. She was previously admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music as the top-ranked student in cello performance, and also received a substantial scholarship to study at the New England Conservatory with Lluis Claret. 

She began her musical training on the piano and later turned to the cello in 2011. She has performed in a range of venues in China and abroad, including the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Jordan Hall in Boston, and Alice Tully Hall in New York. She has appeared as a soloist with the China Youth Symphony Orchestra and has also given solo recitals in China. 

Her awards include prizes at the Aiqin International Cello Competition, the Salzburg “Grand Prize Virtuoso” International Music Competition, and the Shitu International Cello Competition. She has also worked with musicians such as Jian Wang, Wen-Sinn Yang, and Lynn Harrell in masterclasses.
