Ian van Maaren

Cellist/Violist da Gamba Ian van Maaren was a master’s student studying historical performance at the Juilliard School. A student of Sarah Cunningham and Phoebe Carrai, Ian aimed to serve as a passionate representative for both of his instruments as a soloist, as well as a continuo player. Ian performed on two original instruments, an English cello from 1750 and an Austrian Viola da Gamba from 1681.
