Margaret O’ Malley

Margaret O’Malley grew up in Chicago, IL. Her primary instrument is viola, and she is currently in her sophomore year at the Juilliard School, where she studies privately under Heidi Castleman and Misha Amory. Margaret has won numerous awards for her performances on both violin and viola, and has soloed with several orchestras, including the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra, the Oistrakh Symphony Orchestra, and the West Suburban Symphony Orchestra. An avid chamber musician, Margaret has received recognition for her ensemble work from the Discover National Chamber Music Competition, Rembrandt Chamber Musicians, ENKOR Chamber Music Competition, and Barnett Chamber Music Competition. In her free time, Margaret enjoys reading, watching black and white movies, drawing, and spending quality time with family, friends, and her dog, Rosie.
