Michalis Boliakis

 

Michalis Boliakis was born in Athens and studied piano performance, collaborative piano, and vocal coaching at the Paris Conservatoire (CNSM), where he has a permanent position of vocal coach since his graduation in 2012. He has also worked as performer and vocal coach in numerous major European concert venues, among which the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Opéra-Comique, Philharmonie de Paris, Opéra de Bordeaux, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and the Megaron in Athens. Through his collaboration with the French director Jean Bellorini, he composed and performed music for numerous theatrical productions, among which La bonne âme du Se-tchouan (2013 - Prize for the best music for the stage by the French Critic’s Syndicate), Karamazov (2016 – Festival d’Avignon). Michalis is currently a second year C.V. Starr Doctoral Fellow at the Juilliard School.
