William Sotiriou

William Sotiriou is a violist currently studying with Carol Rodland at The Juilliard School. Originally from Maynard, Massachusetts, William began his academic studies with a strong interest in the sciences — a passion that continued throughout his secondary education as a member of his high school’s Science Olympiad team and recipient of the Science Book Award in Physics. In addition to his academic studies, William began seriously studying viola at age 16 as a student of Gillian Rogel at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. One of William’s most recent joys has been working with the younger generation of musicians. Having given online music lessons throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and more recently serving as guest masterclass artist for the Manchester High School, teaching is something William hopes to keep as a prominent component of his career moving forward.
